Watto's Junk Yard / Re: A Game of Thrones (HBO)
« on: June 1, 2016, 12:50 PM »
I feel the Arya, Sansa and Dany stories all smack of GRR not doing three books as originally planned and now milking it out further and further...the whole unite the slaves of Essos is dumb and rather redundant.  At least she is now doing something with her Khal

Same goes for the wanderings of Sansa and Arya, sure they have grown and become wiser etc but its been soooo drawn out to the point of where it gets ridiculous.

That last scene was absolutely bad ass...I was thinking the dragon was going to burst through the ceiling but that was so much better

I told my wife that Sansa and Jon's reunion may be the nicest moment in the shows history

I'm guessing Reed will feature in the books but Bran will be the one to tell Jon in the show and I am with the theory that that isn't Rickon and Shaggydog is not dead.  My new dream death for Mr Bolton is to be eviscerated by the three direwolves...a fitting death with all of his dog ****

Other Toy Lines / Re: M.A.S.K.

I've been wanting to buy a nice MIB Boulder Hill for a while...knowing my wife would kill me has put a stop to that silliness.  For sure in the top 5 toy lines of my youth, lots of happy memories, lets hope they don't butcher it.

Other Toy Lines / Re: ReAction Lines

All of the figs are gone from my local Barnes and Noble as well, this coupled with a lack of new product at the last two Toy Fairs means this line is truly dead.  RIP ReAction.  I was hoping to get Pee Wee Herman and Last Starfighter figs but I am happy with what they did make...fun times

Where exactly is Littlefinger right now?  His thread seems to be lost in the book and the show

Ramsey's death better be the best death of all time...Jon Snow shoving Longclaw right through his brain while he is on fire covered with tar after his flesh had been stripped by ants after the had been dipped in molten sugar.  He is probably the most evil person on the show, the little ******

So...Roose and Stannis are both about to bite the dust (probably)...think this is into book 7 already?

Star Wars Anthology / Re: Rogue One (SPOILERS)
« on: April 1, 2016, 12:02 PM »
There was something odd in today's Rebel's Recon.  Notably, with the real life Chopper droid crating himself up, and that crate having a UK flag stamp on it.  It certainly makes you think that there may be some REBELS related cameos in ROGUE ONE.
As I've said from the get go...how these two are not interelated would be mindboggling.  Why not feature some of the rebels in a scene if only for a fan wank.  I was originally convinced that Sabine, Hera or Ahsoka was going to star in this...until proven wrong I wouldn't doubt it

It is also baffling that there have been very leaks, no trailer yet almost nothing...Star Wars media is so weird (and that includes the lack of information coming out of their toy licensee)

Saw it yesterday, generally liked it, generally disliked plot holes.  I loved the Justice League/Super Friends cartoons of yore and while I like them trying the build up to a Darkseid smackdown they just don't seem to be going at it the right way.  I don't like how Batman was basically ready to kill him and just conveniently didn't...I didn't like the Lois crap at the end.  Did like them tying in some of the Comic stuff from the Doomsday/Superman arc.

Someone said Legion of Doom...hell just give us that without all of the backstory.  Which is what i thought as they are presenting AGAIN the same damn Bruce Wayne's family gets killed outside the theater scene.   As kids we didn't need to know backstory.  As adults we don't need to know backstory nor do kids...just jump into a legendary throwdown between Super Heroes and Villains who live in a giant swamp Darth Vader helmet.

I also cannot believe that DC and Marvel are basically following the exact same arc (Civil War leading into a Thanos/Darkseid throwdown)   Marvel should make a Squadron Supreme movie just to **** with them, especially as Hyperion has become a little more Marvel mainstream.

I gotta say as much as I loved Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul has been an extremely fun look at the Saul/Mike backstory.   Love the little Breaking Bad cameos as well...great stuff

Cap has been my favorite Superhero since I first started reading comics...I know where this is going and I think making Bucky or Falcon "Captain America" sucks ass because as Nick says Evans has nailed Rogers and nobody else can ever be Cap.  God, I hate modern comics.  Who are they killing off this year?
