I grew up around Midway.  Hopefully you're South of the airport and not too far North.  From what I remember you didn't want to go much past 35th street...

Staying at the Quality Inn Midway just south of the airport so I should be fine. They have shuttle service to the airport & back so hopefully can use that. Transport to the Con looks good via train/bus/uber. Flights look good going to Midway from here with 1 stop in Minneapolis. Having my friend come down again helps splitting the costs.

Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster and Starman Leave Earth Forever in This Final Photo

Shortly after SpaceX's Falcon Heavy launched the Roadster into space, three cameras began beaming live views of the car and Starman back to Earth. That webcast lasted 4 hours and 39 minutes before going offline.

"Ground control to Major Tom, you're circuit's dead, there's something wrong."

We hope you got a chance to view the Starman Tesla livecam while it was operational, but Elon Musk in social posts, below, says they've lost the video feed. What's available in the video above is now replay.e.

Any idea how long the camera batteries are gonna last?  Are they solar?

From what I read, the car battery will last 12 hours after launch then the feed will be lost. As for the center core, it ran out of fuel & crashed 300 feet from the drone ship at 300 mph.

A big CONGRATS to Elon Musk & the team of SpaceX! Yes Rob, that was ******* amazing.. just hope the center core landed safely...
