Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Everything eBay! Scams, questions, etc...
« on: September 27, 2024, 10:42 AM »
Welp, it was bound to happen.  Just got a frantic flurry of messages from a buyer talking about how they were deceived and sold defective product and are threatening action with ebay if I don't give them a refund.  The person haggled the hell out of me for every nickel before the sales, waited a week after they received the items to reach out to me, and threatened action unless I responded within minutes of receiving their messages.  Nothing that hasn't happened to many of you before, just sucks that it continues to go on...

I don't think so.  eBay changed it a couple of years ago to cut Paypal out of the equation.  I pay for purchases now with a credit card (which is nice for accumulating rewards points) and then eBay direct deposits sales into my checking.  I don't know if a way around that, but it's not bad once you get used to it.

Thanks Rob, appreciate the fast response.  Not a big fan of having my bank account and routing information stored with them.  With all of the recent data hacks that have been occurring with large companies, I try to limit storing financial info with retailers (e.g., credit cards stored for future purchases).  Guess I have no choice with this...

Hi guys, need some help.  Haven't sold anything on ebay in probably a decade and just listed a bunch of items.  Is there any way around having to add bank account information to get payments?  I have a linked Paypal account, but the buyers can't pay me via Paypal, it goes to ebay and they have to deposit it to my bank account, meaning I can only use Paypal to purchase?!

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I went back to 2021 and didn't see anything about this so wanted to get feedback from the experts, thanks!

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The MCU post Endgame.
« on: October 14, 2022, 12:59 PM »
My wife and I watched She-Hulk and enjoyed it for what it was.  Definitely being used to set up things for the future.  And I absolutely loved the intro for the finale.  Brought me right back to watching The Incredible Hulk as a kid.  Interested to see where they take the characters they've introduced.

Overall I've liked how they have developed each streaming series to be different from what we've seen in the MCU and absolutely different from each other.  Really looking forward to the new series in development and Season 2 of several of these series.

Oh, and Black Panther Wakanda Forever looks amazing and can't wait to go see that!

My theory on this is that Reva was Obi-Wan's padawan after Anakin (that was never mentioned in ROTS) and that's why she's hunting him down.  She felt as though he abandoned her and thus the obsession with wanting to find him.

It didn't dawn on me until this morning that my issue with the show is that I'm watching "Spy Kids" set in the SW Universe.  I had to sit through years of those awful movies when my boys were younger.  Once I rehashed the palace fight and chase scenes with the Vespa crew and wondered why I thought they were so bad did I realize it's because of RR's Spy Kids torture I endured all those years ago.  Episode 1's sand monster, the kid with the bionic leg, the poorly executed speeder chase, bad effects, poor attempts at humor, it all stems from RR.  I half expect both of the main characters from those movies to make cameos in the last few episodes.

Keep me in mind for next season Rob.  Just started playing for the first time this season in a family league and am enjoying it a lot, so would be happy to join in with you all.

I'm glad this is streaming on HBO Max...The Wachowskis owe me money for seeing Revolutions in the theater.
