Box Office Mojo says Rogue One has earned $1,012,333,423    world wide. Disney holds the top five grossing movies for 2016.

1   Captain America: Civil War   BV   $1,153.3
2   Finding Dory   BV   $1,028.1
3   Zootopia   BV   $1,023.8
4   Rogue One: A Star Wars Story   BV   $1,012.3
5   The Jungle Book (2016)   BV   $966.6

I'm going to have to get to the theater to see Rogue One again.  It bothers me to no end that Zootopia has higher sales...

I hate how Finding Dory did better than Zootopia.

I love how Civil War out paced them all.  What an awesome movie.

It's funny how Civil War has such a larger overseas take compared to Rogue One:

Rogue One:
Domestic: $514mil
Overseas: $500mil

Civil War:
Domestic: $408mil
Overseas: $745mil

Cap 3 did something like $130mil more than R1 in China.  Not sure if that was a censorship thing or what.  Just weird when you look at the big differences in some other countries all over the world.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rogue One international tickets sales continue to rise.  I know some of those countries had a pretty late release date.  China didn't release it until Jan 6th, so in theory its still in wide release in the theaters there and should continue to add to the totals.

There might be other international markets as well that had late release dates and will continue to tally sales.

I think China is just more happy with a movie where good guys fight each other while the bad guy sits back and watches.  They're probably less enthusiastic about a grass roots uprising that is working to overthrow a tyrannical regime.    :-X

Give it time...Rogue One is still in the theaters.
This is the way.

I read somewhere that the first 6 SW films were not realeased in China so there isn't quite the built up audience that the MCU films enjoy.

I assume we're getting different packaging, different extras, etc. at the different retailers with the Rogue One DVD/Blu-Ray release on April 4th.  Or is it going to be the same at all retailers?

Anybody got any info on what to expect in a couple of weeks?

Thanks Jeff.

Looks like there is also the standard edition available everywhere.  I noticed Target has a $5 gift card they're offering with a Rogue One pre-order.  Looks like that is the way I'll go.

Already preordered mine from Disney, so pretty sure I will get the standard edition for just $69.99. Plus shipping.

I like the look of the steel book, so it's likely Best Buy for me.
