This 'lesson' was mostly about getting rid of outlines and actually drawing the shades...
I decided to draw one of my favorite scenes in Star Wars to practice this lesson. Here you have it, 'Vader Surverys The Damage' as he boards the Tantive... What I like about this scene is its resemblance to this image :
Anywho, note the black cloud as Vader makes his way down the hall... Because I was trying not to do outlines, I wasn't able to detail Vader's mask too much.
